A Christmas Madrigal (Nov. 28-30; Dec. 5-7; Dec. 12-14)
History: During the Middle Ages and continuing well into the Renaissance, the holiday season was a time when guests traveled great distances to the castles of wealthy friends and family members to feast, dance, and exchange news in a celebration lasting several days. After the rigorous fast of the Advent season, elaborate preparations were made to ensure a truly festive event. Join the celebration with our talented cast from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, supported by the Renaissance Singers of the greater Orangeville area.

Synopsis:
Our Royal Lord and Lady invite you to experience the laughter and
song of a medieval holiday. Following the partaking of the Wassail
in the reception hall, you will be ushered in and seated to await
the entrance of the Royal Party. The comedy, music, and artistry
ensues about you, pausing only for the Feaste itself. As the event
winds to a close, you will be left full of stomach and full of
heart!
